RoomPlacer ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("App").

2. Data We Collect

Account Information
- Email address (used for authentication)
- Password (stored encrypted via Supabase Auth)
- Account creation date and last login
Usage Data
- Number of placements used and remaining credits
- Subscription status and billing tier
- In-app actions (room creation, furniture selections, regenerations)
- Device type, operating system, and app version
User-Uploaded Content
- Room photographs uploaded by you for visualization
- Furniture photos uploaded by you
- AI-generated visualization results (stored temporarily for your session)
Automatically Collected Data
- App crash logs and error reports
- Basic analytics (session duration, feature usage)
- Device identifiers (for subscription management via RevenueCat)
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data for the following purposes:
To Provide the Service
- Process your room photos and generate AI furniture visualizations
- Authenticate your account and maintain your session
- Track your placement credits and subscription status
- Save your visualization history
To Improve the Service
- Analyze usage patterns to improve app features
- Diagnose technical issues and fix bugs
- Understand which features are most valuable to users
To Communicate With You
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
- Notify you of important changes to the App or these policies
- Respond to your support requests
To Process Payments
- Manage your subscription through RevenueCat and the app stores
- Verify purchase entitlements and unlock Pro features
4. Third-Party Services
RoomPlacer relies on the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy practices:
Supabase
We use Supabase for user authentication, database storage, and file storage (room photos and visualizations). Your account data and uploaded images are stored on Supabase's infrastructure.

Google Gemini API
We use Google's Gemini AI API to process your room photos and generate furniture visualizations. When you initiate a placement, your room photo and furniture description are sent to Google's servers for processing.

RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions across iOS and Android platforms. RevenueCat receives device identifiers and purchase information to manage your subscription entitlements.
- Data shared: device ID, subscription status, purchase history
- No financial payment data (credit cards) is stored by us or RevenueCat — handled by Apple/Google

Apple App Store & Google Play Store
Payments for Pro subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple or Google. We do not receive or store your credit card or payment details. Refund requests are subject to Apple's and Google's respective policies.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your data only in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: With third-party services listed above (Supabase, Google Gemini, RevenueCat) as necessary to operate the App
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority
- Protection of Rights: To protect the rights, property, or safety of RoomPlacer, our users, or the public
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you in advance.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service:
- Account data: Retained until you delete your account
- Room photos & visualizations: Retained in your account until you delete them or your account
- Usage logs: Retained for up to 12 months for analytics and bug diagnosis
- Billing records: Retained for up to 7 years as required by applicable financial regulations
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. See Section 8 for your rights.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse:
- Passwords are hashed using industry-standard encryption (via Supabase Auth)
- All data in transit is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS
- Data at rest is encrypted on Supabase's servers
- Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
General Rights
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data and account
- Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection: Object to certain types of data processing
California Residents (CCPA)
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to opt out of sale (we do not sell data), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights.
EEA & UK Residents (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

9. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at privacy@roomplacer.app and we will take steps to delete such information.
Users between the ages of 13 and 18 must have verifiable parental consent to use the App.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or via email before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
Your continued use of the App after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
